Mary Thornton

Mary established the Practice in 1998 and has seen the business grow from strength to strength, to its current position. Mary recognises the success of the Practice is down to the team she has in place. She is supported by a dedicated, long standing team of highly qualified and experienced individuals.

Sinead Quigley

Accountant & Registered Auditor

Sinead Quigley

Sinead has worked with Mary Thornton Accountants Ltd for over 20 years. Her role within the Organisation is that of Practice Manager. Sinead oversees that our clients receive the highest quality service on a daily basis. She studied at GMIT and subsequently qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in 1998. Sinead obtained her Practising and Auditing Certificate with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2010. She provides a personal, client focused, professional service to a diverse range of clients. She has a vast amount of experience working with a wide variety of business sectors.

Carmel Moroney

Senior Accountant

Carmel Moroney

Carmel is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a valued member of the team at Mary Thornton Accountants for over 15 years. Since she began, Carmel has been using her expertise to help a variety of clients with all aspects of their accounts and systems, through the company. Carmel has specialised in the fields of payroll, School Accounts, Company Accounts and Company Audits.

Sara Crowe

Sara Crowe

Sara has worked for Mary Thornton for over 16 years. During this time she has worked with a wide portfolio of clients. She currently specialises in the preparation of FSSU submissions of Primary School Accounts, Community Employment Schemes, Church Accounts and Car sales along with many other trades.

Lisa Duggan

Bookkeeper

Lisa Duggan

Lisa joined the Practice in 2013 and her initial role was that of our Receptionist. She has since trained in bookkeeping and specialises in payroll and now manages a team of bookkeepers and accounts administrators in the office. Lisa has also specialised in Company Registration Office (CRO) filings and Company Formations and manages all other Company Secretarial responsibilities.

Eileen Bowens

Eileen Bowens

Eileen joined the Practice as a receptionist in 2018. She has since become an important member of our team. Managing the Payroll service and also has an abundance of experience in farm and company accounts. Eileen currently works with clients on VAT Returns and RCT.

Roberta Barauskiene

Part Qualified Accountant

Roberta Barauskiene

Roberta joined our team in 2021 as a Part Qualified Accountant. She holds a Bachelors Honours degree in accounting, from GMIT. Roberta joined the firm with over 4 years’ experience in Management and Financial Accounting. She currently specialises in Company Accounts, Management Accounts and Year End Audits. She is currently studying for her ACCA exams.

Aisling Kennedy

Bookkeeper & Receptionist

Aisling Kennedy

Aisling joined the team in 2022 as a Bookkeeper & Receptionist, having 3 years practice experience prior to this. She obtained a Bachelor of Business from GMIT in 2019, with a keen interest in Payroll and Bookkeeping.
